Getting Started
We are happy to
learn that you have registered for a
distance learning course offered through the PJC eCoast Campus. The eCoast
Campus website is the first place
you should look for information
regarding distance learning courses. Look
through the site carefully, check it
often, and follow the steps below:
I) Before
registering for any distance
learning course click on the "courses"
link at the top of the eCoast Campus
web site and then click on the
section number beside each course to view the syllabus
for a course in which you are
interested. Here you will find
important information provided by the
instructor. Remember, it is
very important that you read this
information before you register.
2) Take the “Am
I Ready for Distance Learning” quiz on the eCoast Campus web site prior to
registering for any distance learning course. This brief series of
questions will help you determine
whether or not distance learning is
for you.
3) Check to make sure
you will have access to the
technology required for PJC distance
learning courses. A link to
this information is provided in the
sidebar to your right.
4) Make sure you have officially
registered for your course through
PJC's Registrar's Office. Note
that you will not be provided access
to your course until you have paid
your tuition and all fees.
5)
ANGEL CMS
is the online course
management system used by PJC to
deliver online courses. Please
read carefully the information
contained on the "ANGEL
Login" page prior to
logging in.
6)
If for some reason communication between you and your
instructor has not been established
by the end of the second day after
classes begin, please contact your
instructor (or the eCoast Campus) by phone or
email. (A
faculty directory is located on
the PJC web site.) You may be
dropped if you have not accessed
your course prior to the end of the
first week of classes.
7)
If you have questions or
difficulties
please contact the eCoast Campus as
soon a possible at
ecoast@pjc.edu using your
assigned student e-mail.
